The Heart of Biddeford has made the commitment to honor our friend, neighbor, and colleague, Kaye Richardson with this year's Heart of Biddeford 5K Road Race. All the donations made via this website and a portion of the race proceeds will go to the Colon Cancer Alliance in the name of Kaye Richardson.

Kaye was diagnosed with stage 4 Colon Cancer back in November of 2010. In keeping with her core beliefs regarding alternative medicine and the power of nutrition, exercise, and positive attitude she spent the next twelve months fighting the disease. In November 2011, Kaye lost her battle.

Kaye was the founder and owner of Forever Fit Pilates and Personal Training in Biddeford, ME. She was active in the Heart of Biddeford organization and conceived of the idea and helped plan the inaugural 5K Road Race in 2011. Kaye was a dedicated entrepreneur, mother, and friend to all.

Please consider giving a donation to honor the life and memory of Kaye, who influenced so many lives during her years in the health and fitness industry. This is our chance to give hope to those who have been or will be diagnosed with colon cancer.
