I am participating in the 2016 Dallas-Ft. Worth Undy Run/Walk Saturday, November 12 at Levitt Pavillion.
But more importantly, in August of 2012 I was diagnosed with Stage 3b Colon Cancer at age 46. I was mis-diagnosed several times by a G.P. and they never recommended a colonoscopy. Finally, on a third visit for the same symptoms a different doctor recommended the test and I suppose you could say from then on my life has not been the same. In good hands with Texas Oncology and many others, treatments and surgeries were successful. I have been cancer free since July 2013, and am trying to make the most of this new beginning. CCA supports many people with cancer that aren't as fortunate as I was to have a support system and the resources needed to navigate what is always a difficult situation. Their efforts to raise money to support patients in the community as well as push important legistlation to lower the age for proper screening is very important.
Please support my involvement in the Undy Run/Walk with a tax-deductible donation, or join us for the Undy Run on November 12th. Your support will help us prevent colorectal cancer and save lives.

I also want to wish a colleague at OpenConnect the very best as he recently began his fight against this ugly disease. Stay strong Carl!
