Dear Family and Friends,
Team Chere is once again participating in the 2017 San Diego Undy Run/Walk to help raise money and awareness for the prevention of colorectal cancer, on Saturday, March 4 at Mission Bay. We had great support from everyone last year and hope everyone will take the time and spread the word. Your support will help us save lives.
- Colon cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths in the U.S
- Colon cancer often has no symptoms at all until it's at an advanced stage.
- Colon cancer is preventable when detected early through regular screenings
- Beginning at age 50 (or earlier if you have a family history), everyone should get their colon checked.
Cancer is a disease that has affected us all in some way. Though there have been improvements in treatment for some forms, for colon cancer the best treatment is still early detection. Unfortunately, many of us that are aware of the procedure, have not had it done. If you think getting a colonoscopy is tough, try chemotherapy. Encourage your family or friends that should get one to do so.
Please support our involvement in the Undy Run/Walk with a tax-deductible donation. Or, come and participate and spread the word. For more information on the Undy Run/Walk, please visit www.undyrunwalk.org or the Colon Cancer Alliance's website at www.CCAlliance.org.
Thanks for visiting our Undy Run/Walk page!
