Dear Family and Friends:
Here?s the deal, the folks here at the Federal Defender?s Office in Grand Rapids
have set up a team to run/walk in my honor at the April 24, 2010, UNDY5000.
This is a fun run/walk to raise money for the Colon Cancer Alliamce.

It is probably just as easy to go to the website listed below and follow the links to the Grand Rapids event and go from there.
Now to the important part. I am asking you to donate to the run in my name.
I told Sean, our go-getter young AFD and Team Captain, that I thought I could raise
$500. I hope that I have 20 friends with $25 each out there. Or I?ll take 25 friends with $20 each, or a 100 friends with $5 each, - although I am probably pushing the envelope at 100 friends. Whatever you might feel inclined to donate is greatly appreciated and if you cannot give anything this year, we more than understand.
We look forward to a great turnout of family and friends to participate with us on-site (everyone is welcome to come out). (I promise to get the first round post-event.) Oh and did I mention that the participants are encouraged to run/walk in their favorite underwear. The idea is to call attention to the object of concern - one?s derriere. Needless to say this fundraiser is for a cause near and dear to my heart these days. (Actually it is closer to my ass of course.)
I have my outfit all picked out. A ?sneak? preview is attached. If I can reach my goal I can promise you will just love the outfit that I will appear in. It?s to die for, but we are hoping just not too soon. I am a colon cancer survivor and I ask you to help, not for myself as I am doing fine, but for lots of others who are going to need all the help they can get.
