The 12th Annual Scope It Out 5K Run/Walk for Colon Cancer Awareness will be held Sunday, March 19, 2017 in the heart of Washington, D.C. The race course starts and ends at Freedom Plaza and will take runners and walkers up scenic Pennsylvania Avenue to the U.S. Capitol, bringing the Scope It Out message to the doorstep of our nation’s decision makers.Location: Freedom Plaza 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Washington, DC 20004
Parking: The Ronald Reagan Building houses a 24 hour/2,000 space secured sublevel parking garage open to the public, with 3 entrances/exits to the garage that should not be impacted by street closures.
Metro: Metro opens at 7 am so you should have plenty of time to get to the race, register, or pick up your packet. Take the Red Line to Metro Center (two blocks from freedom Plaza) or the Blue/Orange Lines to Federal Triangle (one block from Freedom Plaza. Check wmata.com schedules for details.

Registration Fees: 5K Adult (14 and older) - $35 Advance/ $40 Race Day 5K Youth (6-13) - $30 Advance / $35 Race Day Scope It Out from Anywhere- $35 Virtual Participation Fee / $30 Youth Virtual Participation Fee Includes:
- A 2017 Scope It Out shirt
- Survivor t-shirt if registered as a survivor
- Survivor medal if registered as a survivor

How you help:
Funds raised through Scope It Out 5K Run/Walk support national prevention, research and patient & family support initiatives at the Colon Cancer Alliance. Additionally, The Chris4Life Research Fund locally partners with the Ruesch Center at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. Through this strategic partnership, this Research Fund is supporting efforts that are improving patient outcomes and saving lives.
