About the Colon Cancer Alliance

The Colon Cancer Alliance (CCA) is a community that provides hope and support to patients and their families, while saving lives through prevention, research and patient support services. Our vision is for a world free of colon cancer, where education, early detection and treatment lead to survivorship for all.

The CCA is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation (EIN 86-0947831). We are the leading national patient advocacy organization dedicated to increasing colon cancer screening rates and survivorship. Ask the hundreds of thousands of people we help each year and they will tell you that we are an active, caring community. We know first-hand how devastating this cancer can be. We also know it doesn’t have to be this way.

The CCA supports more than 550,000 individuals each year. We're proud to assist 16,000 patients annually through programs like our Blue Note Fund, which has awarded more than 800 grants to current colon cancer patients in need; our My CCA Support Online Community; and our toll-free Helpline, which receives nearly 11,000 calls each year. Our signature Dress in Blue Day program has grown to unite 10,000+ individuals across the country to spread awareness during Colon Cancer Awareness Month. Additionally, through our Community Health Partnership Grant Program (CHPGP), we've raised more than $300,000 for local partners to extend screening, treatment and research programs over the past few years.

We attribute our growth and success largely to the network of more than 375 caring volunteers who join us and devote time, skill and energy to ridding the world of colon cancer. We welcome all individuals, organizations, government agencies and members of the medical community to join the CCA family because together, we can save lives.
