Want to Know More about the Drug Shortage?
There are currently 211 drugs on the national drug shortage list, 22 of which are chemotherapy agents. Of these, five are used for the treatment of colorectal cancer. Check out our interview with CCA Patient Advocate and colon cancer survivor Dr. Laura Porter to learn more about the drug shortage and what it means for survivors.

CCA Blue Note Fund Hitting a High Note
Word is getting around about our Blue Note Fund. We received over 300 applications from all over the country this past quarter! While we are excited that more people are finding this fund, we can only give 100 awards per quarter. As you can see, the need is great! If you can, please help us help those in need.
You can support the newly diagnosed by giving today. Consider setting up a recurring donation for as little as $10 a month.
Nancy Butterfield Promoted to Patient Engagement Coordinator
If you’ve ever called our Helpline or participated on My CRC Connections, then you probably know Nancy Butterfield. Nancy's experience and compassion make her a very important part of the CCA family. Nancy became involved in the fight against colon cancer as a caregiver for her mother and joined our Patient Support team almost three years ago. We’re excited to announce that Nancy has been promoted to our Patient Engagement Coordinator position! She’ll be working to mobilize and inspire survivors across the country to advocate for screening and awareness in their communities. Congratulations, and thank you for all your hard work, Nancy!

The CCA Wants You! Help Us Increase Screening Referrals
Research shows that 80% of people would get screened if their doctor recommended it. That's why the CCA has developed a special kit just for primary care providers (PCPs) featuring informational materials to encourage more screening referrals, but we need your help. Order our new PCPs vs. CRC Outreach Kit and let PCPs in your community know how important they are in the fight against colon cancer.
